Our Farmers

We are pleased to announce that Phill Beile will be the new Head Farmer for the 2017 season.  Phill has been the assistant farmer to Eric and Crystal for the past three years.  He is a very energetic young man and is anxious to help us continue the mission of La Vista of providing us with fresh, healthy and locally grown produce.

We offer our sincere thanks to Eric and Crystal Stevens (previous farmers) for their hard work and dedication to the Garden over the last seven seasons.  They brought a new energy to the farm with their artistic skills and creativity in helping us achieve our goals.

Eric and Crystal Stevens co-managed La Vista CSA Farm from 2010-2016.

They brought fresh energy to La Vista by re-branding, networking and building relationships within the St. Louis food community.
They integrated a Resilient Living Workshop Series offering education workshops on permaculture, gardening, composting, healthy cooking, pollinator gardening, native landscaping, edible landscaping, medicianl herbs, ethical foraging and more. Crystal was a columnist for FEAST Magazine, contributes to The Healthy Planet and also blogs for Mother Earth News

Crystal is the author of Grow Create Inspire, available for purchase on their website www.growcreateinspire.com
